We all love to celebrate our Veterans on special occasions like Memorial Day and, of course, Veteran’s Day. But, we can’t forget about Valentine’s Day because they are our loved ones too. They put their lives on the line for our freedom. Our freedom to love whomever we choose.

15 Companies that are Offering Military Discounts in 2018

Companies love to give discounts to active-duty military and Veterans. It’s good for business and good for the soul. We’re used to seeing offers from apparel companies, like Columbia and Sperry (both offer 15% off), but did you know that both Ford and General Motors give special treatment to military personnel looking to buy a car? Then after you purchase that shiny new vehicle and are looking to hit the travel trail, always check for military specials.

How a Government Shutdown Impacts Veterans and Active-Duty

Even though the government shutdown has been averted, it really has just been postponed until February 8. On that date (or hopefully before), our elected officials will need to vote to fund the government to avoid another shutdown. If they can’t agree and we experience another shutdown, here’s how it will affect active duty military and veterans.

With the New Year, a somewhat new administration in Washington, and a brand new tax bill just passed; the upcoming year has a lot in store for US citizens, and especially Veterans. VetCV Updates, News, & Tips

Welcome to 2020!

As you can see, there are a few changes in your App. We are in the process of making improvements to the App that will make it much faster for us to build the new features many of you have been asking for. The upgraded version will also enable us to make even small enhancements and push them live quickly! So, as we work on the new version, we are trying to minimize our work into this version. Of course all of your account information will remain, you will just log in as you normally do when the new version is live. The ETA is end of the first quarter for GoLive, but we’ll keep you posted! Thank you for your understanding and patience!

Let’s Get Started

It’s very easy to use, upload your important documents or images by simply dragging and dropping. Let’s start by creating or uploading your resume and maybe even look for a job. We have tons of jobs across the country. Everything from part-time positions at UPS to physician jobs with our nation’s leading healthcare systems like Florida Hospital and University of Maryland Medical System. Have Secret or Top Secret clearance? Check out jobs with CSRA. Many jobs have that requirement, just type in “secret” or “top secret” in the Career section under Search Jobs. Super easy and the rest of the App basically all works just as easy…and don’t worry, you can’t break it so go for it (if something breaks it’s cause we missed something our our end).

Now go ahead and add some records and/or files to help you stay organized. You can add service records, health records, family members and their details as well as find health, wellness, and adventure opportunities in our Lifestyle & Wellness section. Have a fur baby or favorite pet, make them a profile and capture their details. As you can see, the “Health” section is still in “Beta” for next few weeks as we continue to add a few more pieces of the puzzle. Basically, “Beta” means that we are almost finished (98% ready for production) and would really like to have users help us make it right and even share your ideas.

If you have some ideas or suggestions, please email them to ideas@vetcv.com. We honestly do want to hear from you, VetCV is built for you and your insights, ideas, and suggestions will help us make VetCV even better!

If you run into any issues please let us know at support@vetcv.com
