National Purple Heart Day is observed every year on August 7th to honor U.S. Service Members who were wounded or killed in combat. TeamVetCV would like to take the time to recognize the bravery and sacrifice of those recipients of the United States Military’s oldest award.

Pensacola State College Purple Heart Day Ceremony, 2025

The event was also attended by VetCV Foundation President Pete McKanna and other Foundation Board Members, including Board Vice President and PSC Veterans Upward Bound Director Robbie Gregg and Board Chairman Niels Andersen (right).

Today’s ceremony at Pensacola State College also recognized the exemplary commitment and dedication of PSC President Ed Meadows, faculty, and the Board of Trustees in supporting the over 600 veterans and 21 active duty military students building their futures there.
